Yoga

Rebecca teaches privately in Berlin.

Everybody’s body is different. Everybody’s body works differently. Finding the right combination of physical and mental exercises that both suits and challenges your body is essential to growth and personal development. Drawing from Iyengar, Yin, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga, we address the relationship between body and mind.

Yoga is a means of balancing and harmonizing the body, mind and emotions. It aims to bring the different bodily functions into perfect coordination so that they work together.

“Body is not stiff. Mind is stiff.”

Yoga for Rope

Rebecca combines her knowledge of the body and yoga with her experience in ropes to provide bespoke classes for practitioners of Shibari.  She offers online private skype tutorials, workshops and video tutorials hosted on Shibari Study.

Shibari isn’t rope…on the body.

It’s the body…in ropes.

Meditation

Rebecca teaches effective body-awareness meditation, to groups and individuals.  A session, which can last anything from 15 mins to 1.5hrs, focuses on reducing stress, increasing productivity and concentration and encouraging a calm, content state of mind.

We spend a lot of time and money working to train and tone our bodies; gym, pilates, sports, yoga classes, martial arts. But how much attention do we dedicate to the mind?

The health industry is slowing catching on to the well-known benefits of meditation and guided relaxation including:

  • Less anxiety
  • Reduced depression, and
  • Reduced pain

Office Meditation: Stress-reducing meditation and massage sessions

We offer bespoke office meditation sessions.  Boost energy, clear your thoughts and get it done better, more efficiently, with a smile.

The Sacred Dance of Thai Massage

Thai Yoga Massage is a clothed, full body relaxation and health prevention massage that looks and feels like a graceful dance between giver and receiver.

Whilst Thai Massage is focused on health prevention (as all disease manifests first on the energy level, and can be treated there before it becomes physical), it can be beneficial for a range of specific problems such as headache, back pain, digestive disorders, shoulder and neck tension, joint pain, menstruation problems, insomnia and other stress-related conditions.

Duration: 1hr to 2.5hrs

By freeing the flow of vital energy in the body, Thai Massage can improve posture, breathing, flexibility, digestion and circulation. Muscles are stretched, inner organs toned, and emotional and nervous tension is reduced.

Thai Massage has been an integral part of traditional Eastern medicine for thousands of years. Believed to have originated from Jivaka Kumar Baccha (Dr Shivago), the doctor of the Buddha, modern Thai Massage blends elements of acupressure, Yoga, reflexology, physiotherapy, meditation, energy work and Ayurveda.

Session timings: 1hr – 2.5hrs

Tok Sen

The body has many energy lines running through it, making up an energy system. These lines cannot be seen but comprise the cornerstone of many Eastern healing traditions. They are comparable to the meridians used in Chinese acupuncture. The primary intention of Thai massage is to release blockages in these lines, or ‘sen’ in order to restore a natural balance.

Duration: 1hr

Tok Sen literally translates as ‘tap the lines’ and involves the use of a wooden hammer and stick to gently stimulate these lines and encourage free energy flow. Highly meditative, Tok Sen is a whole body massage relieving muscle tension, increasing flexibility and allowing for complete relaxation.

Pressure Point Massage

Pressure point massage, or Marma massage as it is known in Ayurvedic medicine, is an oil-based whole body massage focusing on releasing body tensions through intense concentration on key marma points.

Duration: 1hr

This massage is strong and challenging, stimulating sensitive points to enable free energy flow.

Marmas are vital points situated all over the body. There are 107 in total and by performing this massage, the points are cleaned, increasing blood flow to the affected part of the neuro-muscular junction.

Session timings: 1hr

Testimonials

Massage sensationnel: un voyage dans la délicatesse et la subtilité, comme une renaissance. Magique!!!

A sensational massage: a journey into delicacy and subtlety during which I felt like I was being reborn. Magical!

Juliette Dragon
The best massage I’ve ever had. Rebecca provided a unique and blissful experience that left me feeling amazingly weightless yet simultaneously so heavy with relaxation my body could happily have sunk into the floor. She works every single muscle and knot attentively and deeply, without leaving any of those next day aches of most massages. Throughout what was quite an unusual physical massage Rebecca made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. She put her energy and evidently caring nature into the experience, making it more reinvigorating and uplifting. I cannot recommend Rebecca enough! And make sure you indulge in the full two hours; it’s absolutely worth it!

“After completing a Modern and Medieval Languages degree at Cambridge University, I began working in environmental conferencing, and then in social impact documentary.  I was half of a 2-man team which set up a £5mil renewable energy investment fund incubator and have also free-lanced as a translator and language teacher.  This variety of different work environments has given me an understanding of the hurdles in both small offices and larger teams, as well as first-hand experience of the difficulties of being self-employed.

My drive to teach and practice holistic, people-based responses to fast-paced Western life is formed from this background.

I am interested in the body. I am interested in the mind. I am interested in the human experience. And in making that experience better, more peaceful, more rewarding, more enjoyable for myself, as for everyone else. My work is dedicated to this end.”
